Shore Spotlight: Diya Fahs

When you meet Diya, you can really tell he has a passion for knowledge. Diya has traveled to many places around the world, living in Japan, Sierra-Leone, Liberia, Mozambique, and Lebanon. He is also fluent in English, Arabic, Japanese, and speaks some Creole and Portuguese. Through his travels, he has picked up hobbies of paragliding. Diya also enjoys collecting stamps, coins, and G-Shock watches.Diya Fahs is an Executive Loan Officer in the Lending Tree Department at Shore Mortgage. Through various programs, Diya assists families to achieve their goal of home ownership. He appreciates all the opportunities that have come and the people he has been able to meet during his time as an Executive Loan Officer. Diya has been with the Shore Family for 10 years.

Diya likes passing on the knowledge that he learns as well. He holds Home Buyers Seminars around Oakland and Wayne Counties in Michigan. In his seminars, he teaches the terminology, expectations, and the steps of home buying, “The process from A to Z” as Diya says. He welcomes anyone with
Diya’s most recent Home Buyers Seminar was on September 19 at the Canfield Community Center in Dearborn Heights. He focused on the $8000 tax credit for first-time home buyers, short sales, and foreclosure prevention, three important topics for new home buyers to be aware of.
The Home Buyers Seminars target an older crowd, but Diya loves to teach younger generations as well. He believes that providing kids with the knowledge early on will set them up for success in the future. This is why he also takes time to be an active participant at the Islamic Center of America and the Landmark Education Group. He enjoys teaching kids about self-development, responsibility, and interactions.
Diya’s goal is, “to reach out to the youth of the community to help them learn to set goals and be responsible at a very young age, so that they can be successful in life”
